- Latch, the digital security lock developed by Eleven Paths, enables users to switch their digital services on and off from the mobile, thereby adding another layer of security.
- The University of Salamanca (USAL), the International University of La Rioja (IULR), Cajamar Caja Rural and the Cortefiel Group have all begun to integrate Latch into their services.

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, 26 February 2014 – Today at the Mobile World Congress, Eleven Paths, the Telefónica Digital company specialising in the development of innovative security products whose CEO is Chema Alonso, announced the integration of Latch with the online services offered to their users by the International University of La Rioja (IULR), the University of Salamanca (USAL), Cajamar Caja Rural and the Cortefiel Group. Latch is an application which enables users to decide how and when the online services they use are available, thus minimising security risks.

Specifically, Latch is now integrated into the single entrance system of the University of Salamanca (idUSAL), which gives access to the email services, Moodle and student records. The online campus of the International University of La Rioja will be following suit very soon. For their part, Cajamar and the Cortefiel Group will start to offer Latch in the next few weeks to the hundreds of thousands of users who use their online banking and e-commerce services, respectively. Banking and e-commerce are precisely two of the sectors with the highest rates of online fraud; hence the interest of banking and commerce entities in offering their customers the greatest possible protection. In addition, Eleven Paths is currently negotiating with other Spanish and international financial entities and retailers the integration of Latch with the online services they offer their customers.

Since its launch barely three months ago, the Latch ecosystem has grown rapidly. It is already integrated into the control panel of Acens, Telefónica 's cloud services company, as well as movistar.es, the online channel of Movistar Spain which is used by over eight million customers of the operator, and also Tuenti, the communication multi-platform and social VMO, which will incorporate Latch into its web configuration panel in the next few months.

Another announcement made during the Mobile World Congress was the launch of Latch for Windows Mobile and Firefox OS (FFOS), the operating system based on open standards developed by Mozilla and supported from the start by Telefónica that already commercialises devices with the operating system in Spain and several Latin American markets.

Latch is a mobile application which, in a very simple way, enables users to create an additional layer of security in the different accounts of online services they use, thereby helping them to protect their digital lives. With this digital lock, users decide when to switch internet services on and off, as well as their profiles on social networks, online stores or electronic banking. This prevents them from being used when they are disconnected. The application also sends an alert if someone tries to access the services when the user has switched them off.

Launched in December 2013 for Android and iOS, the application is now also available for FFOS and Windows Mobile. To register as a user, all you have to do is visit latch.elevenpaths.com and download the application from the applications stores of those operating systems. Once installed on the device, the user pairs up the application with each one of the accounts or profiles which have integrated Latch. From then on, the users can choose when to block or unblock, totally or partially, the different functions of the digital profile.
